Black Girl Basel is the only event during Miami Art Week intentionally created for Black Women Artists, Creatives, Entrepreneurs, Activists, Industry Leaders, and Cultural Change-makers to meet and connect.
The inaugural Black Girl Basel 2018 event, hosted in a private compound in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood, quickly became the premier invite-only art event for Black Women Creatives and Entrepreneurs during Art Basel Miami Beach. Through a combination of word of mouth and social media buzz Black Girl Basel attracted 200+ Black women from diverse backgrounds and industries looking to connect and collaborate with other like-minded women to discuss ideas, pitch projects, and plan collaborations.
The 2019 Black Girl Basel event attendees can expect to be immersed in a positive, dynamic, collaborative environment filled with women who value collaboration over competition and who truly believe that when Black Women are given safe spaces to meet and connect the result is community empowerment and meaningful social change.
